My soccer coach was probably the one who gave me my passion for tour cycling when I was 12 or 13 years old. He had organized a bicycle expedition from the Les Saules neighbourhood (in Québec City) to Grondines (in Portneuf), at the cottage of his foster family. After that, when I was 14 or 15 years old, I left with three of my friends from that same neighbourhood to go to La Pocatière, at the cottage of one of my friends. I remember that, during that first trip, we had the hottest day of that summer and that it took 12 hours by bicycle to get to our destination. "Not rushed, those teens!"

Some ten years later, my interest for cycling adventures hit me once again and I became "addicted" to cycling. I have covered, on average, 5,500 km per year for the past 5 years and I also bike to and from work, rain or shine!
